Senior Leadership Coaching is an effective developmental tool when a customized approach is what’s required.

A typical coaching engagement will usually follow a process by which it is critical to identify who the right players are to be involved in the coaching; what is the desired change/behaviors to be improved; and, how long the coaching engagement will occur. While each engagement is customized, they will all include the following elements:

 
1. Alignment of the specific coaching goals based on an assessment of leader’s strengths and development areas. This alignment occurs between the leader, and the relevant stakeholders within the organization.

2. A written development plan with specific goals/outcomes and milestones/timing.

3. Individual coaching sessions with the leader – usually 1-2 times per month. In between these sessions there is usually some form of “homework”…. A chance for the leader to work on specific strategies for growth.

4. Periodic progress and feedback updates between the organization’s stakeholders and the leader.

5. An end of engagement assessment that provides feedback to the leader and organization’s stakeholders of the progress that was achieved.
